FREE TRAVEL BINGO PRINTABLES!! **GIFT IDEA & COUPON

Going on vacation or just need something to occupy the kids for a drive?!

I would snuggest keeping these Road Trip Bingo sheets  in the glove box for those rough long drives! I can’t wait until my girls are old enough, but since they aren’t I have a great gift idea!! (courtesy of Homemaking Expert)

I am going to print and laminate these to give to my husband’s little cousins for Christmas! (with my laminator my dad bought me for Christmas a few years ago!… also, I know the Teacher Supply store laminates stuff in O’Fallon, Wal-mart sells the single sheets fairly cheap, and some office stores do laminating too)

**I think using a dry erase marker would be the easiest way to mark these, so I will pick up some little markers for them too…. currently there is a $2/1 Any Expo Washable markers coupon too, so hopefully that will make for a great deal!

I think they will love them!

I found these over on Home Making Expert’s website! She has 6 different cards you can print!

MAGIC MILKSHAKES

WARNING: BEFORE YOU READ HOW THESE ARE MADE CALL MY HUSBAND (THE PICKIEST MAN ON EARTH AND ASK HIM HOW MUCH HE LOVES THEM) OR ANYONE ELSE I HAVE MADE THEM FOR, AND THEY WILL TELL YOU HOW AMAZING THEY ARE!

These are in fact made WITHOUT ice cream!

THEY TASTE EXACTLY LIKE A WENDY’S FROSTY! ( WHICH IS AS CLOSE TO HEAVEN FOOD CAN GET)

SUPPLIES/INGREDIENTS:

  • blender
  • 1.5 cups of non-fat dry milk powder (dont stop reading now just make them!)
  • 1.5 cups of ice water
  • 2/3 cup of sugar for CHOCOLATE OR 1/2 cup of sugar for VANILLA
  • 1/4 cup of un sweetened cocoa (I use a little less because it is VERY chocolately) and of course omit this if making VANILLA
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla for CHOCOLATE OR 1 tbsp. for VANILLA
  • 1-1.5 trays of ice cubes (whatever fills your blender about 3/4 full)
  • 2 tbsp. of corn oil & 5-second squirt of non-stick spray (this is for the emulsification process! – yes you must do it – everyone who doesn’t ends up disliking them)

DIRECTIONS:

Place ALL ingredients inside the blender and mix for 2 minutes straight. Will make 2 very large shakes, so can be split up into 4 smaller shakes.

I posted this because it is frugal due to the fact that most of us have all this stuff in our pantry anyway!

PLUS, my husband asks me to make one everytime he comes home!

You could crack an egg in the VANILLA version for a French Vanilla Shake.

Add instant coffee for a Mocha Shake.

Add peanut butter. Bananas. Strawberries. Whatever your heart desires!

HOME MADE LAUNDRY SOAP (TOP LOAD OR FRONT LOAD MACHINE)

I have been using this recipe for almost 2 years now, and I have only made it up 4 times.

It works just as good, and sometimes (especially on heavy stains) better than the name brands.

I cannot even coupon this cheap because the borax, soap, and washing soda I bought orginally are the same ones I have used all 4 times, and I have enough to make at least another ten 10 gallons of laundry soap.

I buy liquid fabric softner on great deals to get that “fresh linen” scent that most people say doesn’t come from home made soap, but I think it smells wonderful without it too. You can add essential oils to get different scents too. (My mother does this)

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • 5 gallon bucket (preferrably with a lid- otherwise cover well with aluminum foil)
  • sauce pan
  • grater
  • something large enough to stir the mixture in the 5 gallon bucket (I use my yard stick or a large kitchen spoon)
  • extra empty laundry soap containers, milk jugs, or other containers that would hold the soap for easier use
  • funnel to transfer soap from bucket to containers

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cups of water (for starters)
  • 1 bar of soap (Fels-Naptha or Ivory – cannot be the scented soap by Dial or anything like that)
  • 1 cup Arm & Hammer Washing Soda (CANNOT BE BAKING SODA – must be a sodium carbonate)
  • 1/2 cup borax

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with water. Stir continually over medium-low heat until soap dissolves and is melted.
  • Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full of hot tap water. Add melted soap, washing soda and Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill bucket to top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken.
  • Stir and fill a used, clean, laundry soap dispenser half full with soap and then fill rest of way with water. Shake before each use. (will gel)

– Optional: You can add 10-15 drops of essential oil per 2 gallons. Add once soap has cooled. Ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil.

Yield: Liquid soap recipe makes 10 gallons.

Top Load Machine- 5/8 Cup per load (Approx. 180 loads)
