MAGIC MILKSHAKES

WARNING: BEFORE YOU READ HOW THESE ARE MADE CALL MY HUSBAND (THE PICKIEST MAN ON EARTH AND ASK HIM HOW MUCH HE LOVES THEM) OR ANYONE ELSE I HAVE MADE THEM FOR, AND THEY WILL TELL YOU HOW AMAZING THEY ARE!

These are in fact made WITHOUT ice cream!

THEY TASTE EXACTLY LIKE A WENDY’S FROSTY! ( WHICH IS AS CLOSE TO HEAVEN FOOD CAN GET)

SUPPLIES/INGREDIENTS:

  • blender
  • 1.5 cups of non-fat dry milk powder (dont stop reading now just make them!)
  • 1.5 cups of ice water
  • 2/3 cup of sugar for CHOCOLATE OR 1/2 cup of sugar for VANILLA
  • 1/4 cup of un sweetened cocoa (I use a little less because it is VERY chocolately) and of course omit this if making VANILLA
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla for CHOCOLATE OR 1 tbsp. for VANILLA
  • 1-1.5 trays of ice cubes (whatever fills your blender about 3/4 full)
  • 2 tbsp. of corn oil & 5-second squirt of non-stick spray (this is for the emulsification process! – yes you must do it – everyone who doesn’t ends up disliking them)

DIRECTIONS:

Place ALL ingredients inside the blender and mix for 2 minutes straight. Will make 2 very large shakes, so can be split up into 4 smaller shakes.

I posted this because it is frugal due to the fact that most of us have all this stuff in our pantry anyway!

PLUS, my husband asks me to make one everytime he comes home!

You could crack an egg in the VANILLA version for a French Vanilla Shake.

Add instant coffee for a Mocha Shake.

Add peanut butter. Bananas. Strawberries. Whatever your heart desires!
